Rock Bottom

A young journalist who is on the last chance, both in his job and his relationship because of his drinking problem. He decides to try to save the relationship by taking the girlfriend to a hotel in the Eastern Iceland to get peace and some space with her. But as this is decided, his boss makes him two choices, to keep the job and work the weekend or lose the job to hang out with the girlfriend. At least he tries to strike two birds with one stone, but we'll see how that goes.

A drama/comedy about a journalist that was once a prominent one, as he was also once an enthusiastic and nice boyfriend, but his excessive drinking has led him to show less and less performance in both fields. He decides to save his relationship with his girlfriend by inviting her over a weekend to a romantic trip. The place is famous for its beautiful landscape and almost unearthly peace and good energy and he hopes to bring that good spirit into the relationship. Unfortunately for him he gets an ultimatum from his editor and is forced to go to a dam that weekend to do some investigative journalism there. He decides to save both his work and his relationship in the same trip and invites his girlfriend to a romantic working trip to a dam. But the high voltage energy at the dam is exactly not what this relationship needed. A story about alcoholism, co-dependence, friendship, love and the hope of resurrection when everything is lost. At least hope?
