Pearls and Swine

Pearls & Swine is a comedy about an Icelandic couple, Finnbogi and Lisa, and their dreams about getting rich quickly and going on vacation in the sunny south. Finnbogi is ambitious and hard-working, and willing to give almost any business opportunity a try. While Lisa wholeheartedly supports her husband, she also worries that he is working too hard, and dreams about taking him on a long holiday in the sun.

The couple are tricked into buying an old and run-down bakery, but manage to turn it into a success by undercutting the hot-dog roll market. The competing bakery's unscrupulous owner, Marta, plots against them. Lisa and Finnbogi, however, are determined to fight back. The couple's desperate fight to save their business takes an unexpected turn when they start selling sex-toys and car-wrecks to Russian sailors.
