Astropia

When Jolli, a scheming used car salesman is sentenced to four years in jail for embezzlement, Hildur, his beautiful unsuspecting girlfriend must now start from scratch and go look for a job and a new place to live. As luck would have it, Hildur gets to bunk with her single-parent girlfriend, while trying to get back on her feet again.

Possessing no real practical job skills, Hildur has a hard time finding employment, until one day, she accidentally stumbles upon a position working in sales at the local fantasy shop “Astropia”, selling role-playing books, video games and accessories. At Astropia, Hildur gets introduced to a group of misfits and nerds that have a totally different view of the world than she’s accustomed to. Slowly, but surely, Hildur gets befriended by the unlikely bunch of misfits, as she gets more and more drawn into their world of fantasy role-play. Pretty soon, the lines begin to blur between her real life and the fantasy world, where she finds herself as a heroine, slaying Goblins and Orcs.

All the while, Jolli, her old boyfriend is determined to get Hildur and their old lifestyle back. Jolli breaks out of jail and kidnaps Hildur away from her group of misfits – namely, Dagur, whom she has become very fond of. Hildur’s nerds must now come to her rescue - what ensues is a series of blunders, battles, and the surreal.
