The story is based on the life and work of composer Jón Leifs. In order to fulfill his dreams, he has to sacrifice what he loves the most.

Synopsis

The Icelandic composer Jón Leifs, who has a promising future, falls in love with a Jewish girl. His quest for success becomes a quest for survival as his love for music has to vie with his love for his wife and two daughters. Facing two impossible choices, he finds his life turning into a Greek tragedy in a country which is rapidly becoming hell on earth.
