Split, The

The Split is a film story inspired by a real event about two people raised in countries on the extreme sides of Europe. Helga, living in Iceland, and Halal who has been raised in a small village in Turkey in the traditional Muslim way, fall passionately in love. When their daughters grow up they discover what happens when love ceases to be sufficient to face the insurmountable gulf between them and their different cultures and religions, and what happens to their children who, torn between these two worlds, are compelled to choose.
